The lesser moorhen is a shy, infrequently seen bird in wetlands and seasonal pools. The top adult was in Tarangire (12-06), courtesy of Anabel Harries. The 2nd and 3rd row immature photos were taken at Mbuyuni Farm near Morogoro (6-22), courtesy of Kim Axmann. The 4th row photo was taken on the Maasai steppe (6-10), courtesy of Paul Oliver. The other photos were taken in Tarangire NP, the Maasai steppe, and Katavi NP.
