The common sandpiper is a common migrant to Tanzanian shore and wetlands from Russia and Europe. Note that the tail is longer than the wingtips. The upper bird was Entebbe-Uganda (12-23), courtesy of Karine Van der Vurst. The right lower flight photo (Ushongo, 11-17) is courtesy of Paul Oliver.
