The semi-collared flycatcher has a white patch on the forehead, a partial collar on the lateral neck and a white patch at the base of the primaries. The male is black with some brown, the female more brown. The upper bird was seen at Speke's Bay (8-21). The next two photos were taken in Bukoba in February 2011, courtesy of Steve Clark.
